Melbourne, Australia – December 5, 2011 – International mobile solutions firm JMango and Australian taxi company Silver Top  has just announced that they are teaming together once again to release a new and improved version of the popular Silver Top Taxi app.  The new version was redesigned from the ground-up using the latest version of the JMango Mobile Development Platform.

The Silver Top application allows users to book taxis in select cities in Australia using their mobile devices.  The app connects the user directly to Silver Top’s taxi dispatch system, resulting to quick and easy booking even on days when cabs are on high demand such as Fridays or Saturdays. 

With the success of its mobile endeavor, Silver Top has commissioned JMango to build a new and better version of the app.  The new version of the app will include a number of huge improvements based on Silver Top’s practical experience with the app and user feedback.  The app has been completely redesigned to make booking a taxi as hassle-free as possible, so that the user can sit back and relax while he waits for the cab.

One of the biggest changes to the app will be in its user interface, which has been re-engineered to enable a more efficient experience.

“The new Silver Top app is one of the first apps we’ve designed and developed using the new JMango Mobile Development Platform.  Using the new set of tools and options presented by the platform, we were able to streamline the user interface of the Silver Top app to work more effectively,”

“Apart from the UI changes, there are a lot of improvements under the hood as well, including the ability to back-up and restore the apps data in case the user’s device gets lost and dynamic searching of locations have been added to the app”

Since its initial release, the Silver Top Taxi application has seen tens of thousands of bookings completed through the app.
